Michael V. Ledo is an established entrepreneur and leader in the business of sports; founding, operating, and managing three sports organizations over his 20 years in the industry. Michael holds a B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Saint Francis, where he earned honors as an All-American and became the first African American football player to be inducted into the USF Athletic Hall of Fame. Michael is a “40 under 40” Business Week’s Honoree with a passion for business ownership, development, buyouts, and mentoring athletes who create and cultivate change in the world.
Michael’s knowledge and commitment to developing professional athletes into world-class entrepreneurs, investors, and community leaders have created massive growth and impact at RISE over seven short years. RISE currently manages 12 athlete enterprise clients, elevating the culture for Athlete Entrepreneurs. RISE is becoming a trusted office where athletes and entertainers can build legacies for their families.
Beyond Michael’s primary focus of leading RISE, his involvement with organizations that align with his core values and purpose is exponential. Michael is a General Partner for MEI Capital, advancing racial equity and opportunity through entrepreneurship for minority-owned businesses and Venture Partner for The Collectiv. Sports Venture Capital group, known as “The Collectiv” focuses on democratizing access to top-tier SportsTech investment opportunities for 99% of athletes, executives, and advisors, not just the 1%.
