Mr. Thomas is an experienced business development manager, investor and civic leader. He is currently on the Executive Board of the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD), in addition to the university’s Economic Development Advisory Council and the Advisory Board for UTD’s globally recognized chess team. Rodney also serves on the advisory board of Mobility Credit Union and the board of directors of the Harvard Club of Dallas. As a member of the North Texas Angel Network (NTAN), he is an active angel investor, providing funding and guidance to startups and growth companies. Rodney spent a number of years at IBM in technology sales, marketing and management, including leading global organizations responsible for driving significant revenue in products and services. He was an Encore Fellow at the Center for Finance Strategy & Innovation, part of the UTD’s Jindal School of Management, where he helped businesses understand how to leverage emerging digital technologies, such as blockchain, artificial intelligence and machine learning.
