Jason Lake

Jason Lake is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Complexity Gaming, one of America’s longest standing and most successful esports organizations, which is now owned by Jerry Jones of the Dallas Cowboys and John Goff. In his role, Lake leads the Complexity management team, overseeing Complexity’s esports teams, various brand partnerships, and strategic direction of the organization. Complexity’s gamers have been featured in outlets such as The New York Timesand Sports Illustrated

Lake is considered one of the founding fathers of American esports, having established Complexity in 2003 and having served as an advisor to North American gaming leagues for over 15 years.

Prior to entering the esports scene, Lake was the Founder and Lead Attorney at Lake & Shafritz, LLC, a real estate law firm based in Atlanta. 

Lake holds a B.B.A. in Finance from Iowa State University and a Juris Doctorate from Emory University School of Law.

Previously at Madison + Vine, Goldman Sachs, Deloitte, and Ernst & Young, and belongs to the Institute of Chartered Accountants. Justin is now the CEO of Gamesquare. Matthew “BK” Augustin is an integral part of the Brand Partnerships & Business Development teams at FaZe Clan, the world’s largest and most prominent gaming organization known for its disruptive original content and hyper-engaged global fanbase of over 350 million combined across all social platforms. As Director of Brand & Creative Strategy, BK is responsible for 

pitching ideas to our current partners or seeking out new biz opportunities and his role consists of oversight of brand and creative strategy for all brand sponsors, copywriting, project & brand management. 

Prior to joining the team at FaZe Clan, BK worked for reputable ad agencies including DigitasLBi, FCB Chicago, Fitzco/McCann and 72andSunny. He touched several campaigns with brands such as Miller Lite, Sprint, Navy Federal Credit Union, Coca Cola, Fanta, Checkers/Rally’s, The NFL, Adidas, Under Armour, Activision, Blizzard, Tinder, New Biz & more. 

No stranger to adversity, BK is dedicated to shining a light on the importance of diversity and inclusion. He is an active member of FaZe Clan’s Diversity Council, co-founded the organization Advertising for Change, which focuses on bringing diversity to ATL’s marketing industry, founded  and served as the Global Lead of the McCann World Group Global Diversity Council, where he focused on bringing their offices across the world together while pushing for a fair and inclusive environment for all. BK is also a Board Member for The Side Show which is a network that helps creatives express their side/passion projects on a larger scale, he is also a for Monday Night Collective, which offers mentorship to young black and brown creatives trying to break through in the industry, as well as the Marcus Graham Project (MGP) which focuses on improving diversity across the marketing and advertising industries – BK volunteers weekly to help mentor the MGP boot campers.

Chelsey Northern

With a career spanning over a decade, Chelsey Northern is a PR expert who can curate desired media hits while also effectively dispelling false narratives. She has a proven track record for building and maintaining meaningful connections with talent, managers, colleagues and entertainment industry executives. Chelsey’s deep rooted relationships with a multitude of influential media professionals mixed with her thoughtful approach can spin a dark horse into a media darling.

Currently serving as head of communications at FaZe Clan, the world’s most prominent gaming organization and digital-native content platform that’s reimagining entertainment for the next generation. Chelsey helped FaZe Clan make history in 2021 by working with Sports Illustrated to put gamers on their cover for the first time. Since joining FaZe, the company and its talent have seen a significant increase of well-intentioned media coverage in heavyweights like AdAge, The New York Times, The Hollywood Reporter, Fast Company and GQ. Chelsey also has a hand in talent development with the FaZe Academy by media training new recruits and readying them for the spotlight. She also created and co-leads the organization’s first diversity council, and led the company’s first-ever national voting campaign in 2020 called “FaZe Up And Vote.”

Previously, Chelsey was Vice President of Publicity at Atlantic Records. She paved her path having led and executed hundreds of successful press campaigns for a varied roster of artists including Bruno Mars, Janelle Monáe, Kehlani, Hayley Kiyoko, Kevin Gates, Alec Benjamin, Vance Joy, Lil Skies, Sabrina Claudio, Charlie Puth and many more. Chelsey also became a key player in the label’s soundtrack business, leading strategy for films such as Birds of Prey, Suicide Squad, and The Fast and Furious. Another highlight for Chelsey during her time at Atlantic Records is the establishment of “The Tank,” a safe and protected think tank for all areas of the business to call out and find solutions to ongoing problems in the music industry. In 2020, The Tank focused on racial injustice, mental health, and getting out the vote.

Chelsey grew up in Waco, TX in a household where rock-n-roll was her family’s religion – with Pantera, Led Zeppelin and Metallica leading the sermons. She now lives in Silverlake with her fiancé Matt and their French bulldog Ollie.

Rickey McCoy

Rickey McCoy is a gaming enthusiast with a true passion for players. He is currently a Senior Development Manager at Riot Games in Los Angeles. He was Product Owner for Sony Playstation Global Consumer Experience including the PS5 release.

Rickey is the Founder of Vivid Media, LLC, the nation’s premier billboard broker, where he partnered with the Dallas Cowboys, The Cochran Firm, and many more companies since 2012. He is also the Co-Founder of Clear Card, an innovative NFC-based business card provider for business/casual networking.

Rickey has been in IT for 20 years. He was the first Web Developer for the City of Frisco in 2006 and Product

Owner for Pizza Hut’s ‘Hut Rewards’ Loyalty Program.

Jaci Hays

Jaci Hays has cemented herself as a vanguard of the rapidly evolving industries of gaming, esports and media. As Chief Corporate Alliance Officer of FaZe Clan, the world’s largest and most prominent gaming and esports organization, Hays is not only on a mission to elevate gaming and esports into the mainstream but to take it even further and create a true 21st century media company that pushes diversity at the forefront and ignites the spirit of youth culture.  Whether she’s smoke jumping or climbing up the corporate ladder Hays’ personal and professional life take her to the edge. 

Hays’ drive started when she was in college and spent several summers working as a fire repeller during the firefighting season. Hays transitioned from putting out forest fires to putting out figurative office fires when she started her career at CBS Interactive, where she worked for nearly two decades through several acquisitions. She began at GameSpot, then launched ZDnet South America, and ultimately, expanded her role with oversight of all gaming, entertainment and music content with CNET/CBS Interactive. As an expert in the emerging gaming arena, Hays’ insight drove her to predict seismic trends such as the rise of Twitch and Fortnite. 

From there, Hays went on to serve as Head of Global Brand Partnerships at GoPro where she expanded the business beyond their core community, turning the company’s marketing division from a cost center to a revenue driver through smart partnerships including Real Madrid, Facebook and Wimbledon.

As the Chief Marketing Officer for Lenovo North America, he drives the regional marketing and communications for the leading global technology brand. He is also the co-founder of Tankee, a parent-approved destination for kids to watch gaming video content they love.
