Mike Wilkes is the Project Manager of McKinney Economic Development Corporation’s Innovation Fund, a unique resource which supports startups who relocate their HQ to McKinney through $50k up to $500k in non-dilutive capital. He previously worked for the North Texas Angel Network, largely handling deal flow, entrepreneur relations, and public speaking engagements.
He is a recent Cum Laude graduate from Texas A&M University, majoring in leadership and business. Prior to attending university, Mike spent 4 years as a Squad Leader in the Marine Corps and was awarded on two occasions for leadership across deployments to Kuwait, Iraq, the SW border, and the United Arab Emirates. Mike got his early start in entrepreneurship through an ammunition manufacturing startup and from running a CPG company since 2015.
