Audhesh Paswan

Audhesh Paswan, Ph.D., Vice Provost of UNT at Frisco, Dean of College of Applied and Collaborative Studies (CACS) and Professor (Marketing) at RCOB, UNT. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Mississippi, USA, an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad, and a B.Tech. (Aeronautics) from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras. After finishing his Ph.D. in 1992, he worked as a faculty at the University of South Dakota and then moved to UNT in 1999. Since then, he has worked as a faculty and Associate Dean for Graduate Program within RCOB, UNT. In 2023, he moved into the role of VP at UNT-Frisco and Dean of CACS. Before coming into academia, he worked in the advertising and consumer product industry as the Account Manager and Planner (HTA-JWT and Clarion-McCann), and Brand Manager (Jagdale group) for eight years. 

His research interests include franchising, B-to-B Relationship, distribution channels, strategy, NPD, macro-marketing, services marketing, cross-cultural and global marketing. His work appears in the Journal of the Marketing, Decision Science Journal, Journal of Retailing, Journal of International Marketing, European Journal of Marketing, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Public Policy and Marketing, Industrial Marketing Management, Journal of Macro-marketing, Journal of Services Marketing, Journal of Current Issues & Research in Advertising, the Journal of Marketing Theory & Practice, Journal of Business and Industrial Marketing, Journal of Brand Management, Journal of Consumer Marketing, Journal of Product and Brand Management, and Journal of Marketing Education among others.

A significant portion of his research work focuses on franchising from a B-to-B relationship perspective, and has looked at public policy, strategic management, knowledge sharing and franchising as a catalyst for economic growth aspects of such relationships. He has been an active member of International Society of Franchising (ISOF) since 1992 and has chaired the conference twice.
