Alex is the founder of Lena Health, an AI-enabled Concierge Care Assistant for patients that improves health and transforms the care navigation experience. Prior to founding Lena, Alex was a Business Strategist and an Innovation Fellow at the Texas Medical Center’s Innovation Institute with prior training in software engineering and degrees in Biochemistry and Economics.
During his tenure at the TMC, he observed, first-hand, a major and unaddressed barrier for vulnerable populations to receive appropriate care. This barrier is the challenge of navigating a highly complex system of health providers, care pathways, and resources. With the funding and incubation of the Texas Medical Center, Lena was commercialized and is now being utilized by prestigious health institutions across the country with ongoing clinical studies showing that patients that utilize Lena have improved health outcomes and reduced use of the ER and hospital.
