Alen Samuel is a litigator and advisor who maintains a practice focused on employment and intellectual property law. Alen routinely litigates matters in federal and state court representing businesses and entrepreneurs in disputes involving breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, and declaratory
judgment claims. In addition to her litigation experience, she routinely registers and renews trademark and copyright applications and has experience resolving intellectual property infringement concerns. Prior to joining the firm, Alen practiced at a defense firm and represented hospitals and other entities in employment, trademark, and healthcare related matters.
Alen earned her undergraduate degree from The University of Texas at Dallas and her JD from SMU Dedman School of Law. In law school, she was a William L. Hutchison scholar, judicial intern, and an active moot court
competitor earning recognition for both oral and written advocacy in regional and national competitions. In 2019, Alen was inducted into the National Order of Barristers, which is awarded to those individuals who excelled in advocacy and service during law school.
