Amy Looper, Co-Founder/COO of OneSeventeen Media, PBC, is an AI EdTech - MedTech social venture entrepreneur.
She grew her first tech company 8,164% in 35 months resulting in a $158M IPO and has since focused her efforts on resolving the worsening mental health crisis among today’s kids. Amy’s fourth company, OneSeventeen Media, built the first adolescent behavioral mental health assessment & analytics mobile platform called reThinkIt! for SchoolTM. An intelligent mental healthcare companion, reThinkIt! makes kids emotionally healthier by solving their mental health needs on-demand. The outcomes-based mobile app has already been proven so successful it has prevented a school shooting and multiple student suicides.
Recently awarded a prestigious National Science Foundation (NSF) Research and Development digital health grant, awarded to only 8% of companies who apply, OneSeventeen Media is building upon four previous studies to further enhance reThinkIt!’s efficacy with U.S. middle school students. Committed to evidence-based results, the company’s research has been featured in USAToday, TIME, CNN and other nationally recognized media outlets.
Amy was invited to the White House Conference on School Safety, delivered remarks to the US Conference of Mayors’ Education & Workforce Committees, is a Capital Factory Women’s Office Hours mentor, and is a SXSW EDU Board Advisor and Startup Launch Mentor.
