Brenda is a repeat entrepreneur who has started 9 companies. An industrial engineer by training, she started her career at Texas Instruments in production and marketing. Her first startup was in semiconductor design at TestChip Technologies. The company helped solve leading edge technology development challenges for the world’s best semiconductor fabs and had a successful exit to what is now Synopsys, a publicly traded technology company.
After that success she started businesses in multiple industries including technology, business services, medical devices, CPG, and nutritional supplements. All these efforts included some level of regulatory challenges.
Most recently, she founded and grew a last mile delivery marketplace company from concept to technology application to operational expansion to over 90 cities in the US. The focus of the business was the extremely difficult problem of big and bulky deliveries into home or office. She won many awards including finalist in EY Entrepreneur of the year for this endeavor.
With all this experience, Brenda is a well-rounded professional with diverse experience that includes B2B, B2C, and B2B2C. She has started businesses that were bootstrapped, funded with friends and family and angels, and also venture capital. She raised over $40M for the PICKUP venture which included 7 funding rounds over 8 years.
Brenda is a people and culture-first leader and is excited to share her experience to help other entrepreneurs be successful. She is an avid runner, aspiring home chef and has one daughter graduating this year summa cum laude from the University of North Texas in New Media Technology.
