Dr. DeAndrea Fleming

Dr. DeAndrea Fleming is a distinguished leader in education and business, celebrated for her transformative impact and visionary approach. With over two decades of experience, she has become a force in curriculum development, educational leadership, and governance consulting.

As a two-term elected official and former president of DeSoto ISD, Dr. Fleming led the district from a TEA conservatorship to remarkable improvements. Under her strategic oversight, the district’s academic rating rose from a D to a B, governance from an F to an A, and financial rating from an F to a B, resulting in the removal of TEA oversight.

In addition to her achievements in education, Dr. Fleming is also the founder and CEO of Mark of Resilience, LLC, a consulting firm specializing in School Board Governance and Student Outcomes Focused Governance. Her firm is acclaimed for its innovative strategies and successful implementation of the Lone Star Governance framework, providing comprehensive consulting and coaching services to enhance governance and educational outcomes for numerous school districts.

Her entrepreneurial spirit is evident in her diverse endeavors. As a Lisa Nichols Certified Transformational Trainer, Certified ICF Coach, Christian Counselor, and International Bestselling Author, she empowers individuals to overcome life’s challenges. She has delivered a TEDx talk on purpose fatigue and inspires personal and professional growth through her coaching programs.

Dr. Fleming’s journey includes conquering breast cancer and navigating the loss of her parents while raising two children as a single parent. Her story epitomizes resilience, determination, and the pursuit of dreams against adversity.

Among her numerous accolades, Dr. Fleming was named one of Courageous Woman Magazine’s Top 50 Women in Business, Leadership, and Entertainment in 2022. She was recognized as School Board Member of the Year twice in 2019, earned Master Trustee through Leadership TASB in 2020, and received the Dallas County Leadership ISD ‘As One Award’ in 2021.
