Erica Molett: Gaming & eSports Track

Erica Molett is a highly acclaimed visionary, with her hands on the pulse for what’s hot, what’s new and what’s next in the ever-evolving global tech and gaming industries. The multi-hyphenate entrepreneur currently serves as the Founder and CEO of Banneky.com (Banneky), a multimedia education tech platform, hyper-focused on middle and high school students who love art, sports, and gaming. As an early stage startup, and with Erica at the helm, Banneky has secured major partnerships with Microsoft, Warner Bros., FaZe Clan, and many other notable brands who have endorsed the mission and message of the gamified experience.

Prior to Banneky, Erica spent the first ten years of her career in the financial industry, focused on investments, estate planning, and commercial banking in Houston and Dallas, Texas. In 2007, Erica segued into local government with the City of Dallas and the Cedar Hill Economic Development Corporation. She found her passion in aligning the interests of the public and private sectors to support the sustainable growth of cities, disenfranchised citizens, and the business community. Erica’s leadership in building and implementing evidence-based, collaborative models in ex-offender reentry and workforce development, garnered the attention of the Department of Justice, Department of Labor, HUD, State Senate, and the White House, resulting in numerous speaking engagements and consulting opportunities in Austin and Washington DC. Former Assistant Secretary of the Department of Labor, Bill Spriggs, stated, “Erica is one of the nation’s leaders in integrating dollars across federal agencies with local programming.”

Raised in Fort Worth and a long-time resident of Cedar Hill, Texas, Erica has remained committed to supporting the sustainable growth of the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. She holds a BBA in Finance from Texas Southern University, and is a Certified Economic Development Financial Professional through the National Development Council. Erica is a member of Leadership Southwest (Class of 2014), the Advisory Board for Two Wins Foundation, and a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority. You can often find Erica, her husband Fredric, and two boys hiking the beautiful trails in Cedar Hill, playing at Klyde Warren Park, or binge watching superhero movies.
